Course Description: Trauma surgeons and addition surgical specialists depending on the trauma center’s level of service, are absolutely necessary and should be fairly treated both financially and professionally. Strong support by trauma center administration is given as a reason for successful recruitment and retention of these professionals time and time again. This webinar will assist trauma center administrators, program professionals and others who negotiate for both compensation and working conditions with some of the tactics that are working in successful centers. We will also share compliance issues that must be taken into account when contracting for coverage. Many types of program structures will be reviewed briefly along with newer compensation models that align the trauma center and surgeons incentives. Information about optimizing physician billing and collections will be featured to assure that each party is doing their best to collect from both third party and government sponsored payors.
